If you have more than one NoiseTools database, you’ll need to know how to manage and organise them.
Click Tools > Databases.
This window shows the database that NoiseTools is currently configured to use.
New or existing databases can be added by clicking the Add Existing or Create New buttons. Alternatively, the Find button will check all available hard disks for NoiseTools database files. This may take some time.
To change the location of an existing database, select it from the list then click on the path. Enter the new path or click the ‘…’ button to browse.
This will not move the actual data file, rather it will point NoiseTools to a different location. Files should be moved or copied manually as required.
If you have multiple databases in the list you can reorder them by selecting one and clicking the up or down buttons. You can also disable databases that you don’t want to use.
When NoiseTools starts, it will pick the highest priority-enable database from this list. The current database is highlighted in green.
To remove a database, select it from the list and click the delete button.
Switch databases
Click File > Switch Database. This allows you to quickly switch to another NoiseTools database whilst the program is running. Simply choose which database you want to use and wait for a few seconds for NoiseTools to reload the measurement trees.
